Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Analyst to join their team for a 1-year CONTRACT. This role is ideal for a professional ready to take on significant responsibilities in financial modelling and executive presentations within a dynamic environment. If you excel at working with complex data, enjoy strategic financial planning, and are adept at communicating with leadership, this opportunity offers a chance to make a substantial impact.

This position provides an opportunity to expand expertise in strategy, gain hands-on experience with intricate financial models, and work directly with leadership to drive key business decisions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing annual cycles and contributing to forward-looking strategic initiatives.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days in-office in Guelph, ON)

Responsibilities:

  • Run annual cycles to refresh variables using large, complex Excel models for sensitivity testing.

  • Present outputs and recommendations for approval to executive leadership (AVPs, VPs).

  • Act as a subject matter expert for IT and data teams regarding calculations and methodologies.

  • Focus on analytics and forward-looking strategy once the program structure is established.

  • Collaborate effectively with analytics, IT, and business intelligence teams to integrate methodologies into systems.


Qualifications:

  • Strong financial modeling skills, with super competence in Excel for complex calculations and sensitivity analysis.

  • Comfortable and proficient in building PowerPoints and presenting to executive leadership (AVPs, VPs).

  • Demonstrated organizational and project management-type skills to manage annual cycles and tasks.

  • A finance background is highly preferred, with experience mirroring decision support or consulting roles.

  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform complex calculations.
