The Senior Analyst, Global Business Analytics – App Marketing leads Wayfair’s US app growth strategy by analyzing commercial, channel, and product data to grow high-quality app installs, engagement, and revenue. This role identifies volume and efficiency drivers across paid, owned, and organic programs, builds forecasts and measurement frameworks, and translates results into both strategic recommendations and day-to-day media decisions. The Senior Analyst works closely with Product, Creative, Promotions, Onsite, Engineering, and media partners to create clear reporting, run experiments, and recommend actions that improve install quality, operational efficiency, and profitable app growth.
Who We Are
Wayfair is one of the world’s largest online destinations for the home. Whether you work in our global headquarters in Boston, or in our warehouses or offices throughout the world, we’re reinventing the way people shop for their homes. Through our commitment to industry-leading technology and creative problem-solving, we are confident that Wayfair will be home to the most rewarding work of your career. If you’re looking for rapid growth, constant learning, and dynamic challenges, then you’ll find that amazing career opportunities are knocking.
On Wayfair’s US Marketing team, our mission is to drive growth, win new customers, and strengthen Wayfair’s leadership in our core US market. Within marketing, App Marketing owns paid, owned, and organic programs that drive high-quality mobile app installs, engagement, and revenue. We take a highly data-driven approach to plan, test, and optimize marketing investments. We have a test-and-learn culture and work closely with data science, creative, product, and onsite partners on marketing-related questions.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Analyst on the WFUS Performance Marketing team, you will own the strategy, measurement, and day-to-day performance of Wayfair’s US app marketing programs. You will manage a material paid media budget, set the testing roadmap, and turn complex channel and product data into recommendations that leadership can act on.
Own WFUS app marketing performance against install volume, efficiency, and quality goals, including weekly scoreboarding, cycle forecasting, and spend pacing across paid, owned, and organic sources.
Manage paid app channels (including Meta, Google, and Apple Search Ads, with emerging platforms as the mix evolves). Allocate budget, pause or scale campaigns, and recommend mix changes based on incrementality, CPI, and down-funnel quality—not last-click results alone.
Build and evolve the quality-install framework (activation, repeat visit rate, time in app, and related engagement metrics) so pause/scale decisions account for install quality, not volume only.
Design, launch, and read experiments across media and onsite surfaces (campaign structure, creative, interstitials, and other owned placements), then document learnings and scale what works.
Partner with App Product, Onsite, Modals, Creative, Promotions, Email, Engineering, and measurement teams to improve the app download and first-open experience, including placement tests, promotional calendars, app-exclusive moments, and post-install journeys.
Own vendor and platform relationships (media partners and attribution), diagnose data or tracking issues, and push the measurement roadmap needed to scale efficiently (incrementality studies, attribution quality, and campaign automation).
Build forecasts, budget asks, and clear narratives for leadership: what changed, why, and what we should do next.
Develop junior talent on the App team (including a co-op and, over time, junior analysts). Set priorities, delegate execution work, and raise the bar on analysis, documentation, and operating cadence.
Identify opportunities to automate manual work (reporting, creative trafficking, campaign setup) so the team can spend more time on strategy and testing.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (math, sciences, economics, business, or similar)
2+ years of professional experience in marketing analytics, performance marketing, business analytics, or a related field
Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, SQL or Google BigQuery, and a visualization tool (Looker, Tableau, or Power BI)
Experience managing or analyzing paid media performance, ideally in app user acquisition or performance marketing, with comfort making spend decisions from incomplete data
Strong business acumen: you quickly grasp KPIs, can size tradeoffs between volume, efficiency, and quality, and constantly look for ways to improve results
Proven ability to run end-to-end analyses and projects independently, influence cross-functional partners, and present a clear point of view to senior stakeholders
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment with multiple competing priorities
People-development mindset: you can coach a co-op or junior analyst, set clear goals, and create repeatable processes the team can run without you
Preferred: hands-on experience with app attribution (for example AppsFlyer), incrementality or holdout testing, and paid social or app campaign management platforms
