    Diamondback Energy is seeking a Senior Analyst with strong SAP, automation, and analytical skills to support continuous improvement across Operations Accounting. This individual contributor role reports to the Operations Accounting Director and serves as a trusted partner to accounting leadership, focusing on automation, process redesign, and scalable solutions. The role works closely with IT to translate accounting requirements and support system enhancements while priorities shift based on evolving process, system, and automation needs. The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting foundation, hands-on SAP experience, and a passion for improving how work gets done.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Include but are not limited to

    Process Improvement & Automation

    • Evaluate accounting processes to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and strengthen controls
    • Design and implement automation, workflow improvements, system enhancements, and reporting solutions
    • Prioritize high‑impact improvements using analytics and emerging technologies
    • Build scalable, reusable tools and processes adopted across accounting teams

    SAP & Systems Support

    • Translate accounting needs into functional requirements in partnership with IT
    • Support SAP enhancements, upgrades, testing, and implementations
    • Troubleshoot system issues and recommend sustainable solutions
    • Support workflow design and system controls within IT governance frameworks

    Cross-Team Partnership

    • Partner with AP, JIB, Project Services, and other teams to identify pain points and improve workflows
    • Document current‑state processes and help implement future‑state solutions
    • Support change adoption through documentation and training
    • Enhance month‑end close with system driven solutions including automated reporting and reconciliations

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
    • 5+ years of experience in accounting operations, with at least 2 years in SAP
    • Proven experience implementing automation solutions in a corporate accounting environment
    • Experience with SAP configuration/customization and working with SAP software solutions
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
    • Process oriented with strong attention to detail

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience in Public Accounting, Oil & Gas Accounting, or a similar role in the energy sector
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Proficiency in data tools such as SQL, Spotfire, or Power BI
    • Familiarity with Enverus solutions (OpenInvoice, OpenTicket, EnergyLink, etc.)
    • Familiarity with project management methodologies
    • Understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls

    Working Conditions:

    • Full-time position based in Oklahoma City, OK.
    • Occasional travel may be required for compliance, collaboration and training sessions.
