This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional with a background in FP&A, Merchandise Planning & Analysis (MP&A), or Finance who is excited to apply financial rigor to promotional strategy and execution. • Conduct deep-dive analyses of promotional effectiveness by channel, category, customer segment, and offer type.
  • Develop clear, actionable recommendations to drive traffic, UPT, basket attach, sales, and margin improvement.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager to support promotional planning, post-event reviews, and test-and-learn initiatives.
  • Build financial models and business cases to evaluate promotional scenarios, trade-offs, and ROI.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize promotional depth, timing, mechanics, and targeting.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into concise, executive-ready insights for Pricing, Merchandising, and Finance partners.
  • Support forecasting and performance tracking by connecting promo results to financial and merchandising outcomes.
  • Continuously improve dashboards, reporting, and analytical methodologies to scale insight generation.

What Success Looks Like

  • Promotional performance insights are timely, accurate, and directly inform decision-making.
  • Recommendations lead to measurable improvements in traffic, UPT, basket attach, sales, and margin.
  • Stakeholders view the role as a trusted thought partner for promo performance and financial trade-offs.
  • Analytics tools and reporting are well-maintained, easy to use, and widely adopted.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years of experience in retail analytics, FP&A, MP&A, finance, pricing, or promotional analytics.
  • Proven analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to connect analysis to business impact.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with BI/analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or similar).
  • Comfort working with large datasets and translating insights into clear recommendations.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional partners with data-driven insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Merchandise Planning & Analysis (MP&A) or enterprise FP&A.
  • Experience analyzing omnichannel performance (store, digital, app).
  • Working knowledge of retail financial drivers: gross margin, promo ROI, markdowns, inventory productivity, and customer value metrics.
Additional Job Considerations:
  • This role requires collaboration, teamwork, and face-to-face interaction with colleagues, leaders, and/or clients.
