About The Role

As a Senior Analyst at Ophelia, you will support the core financial operations of a growing multi-state operation: monthly close, financial reporting, cash and treasury management, internal ROI analysis, and annual planning. You''ll report directly to the FP&A Manager and partner with them closely across each of these areas. Strategic Finance is a small team, but this is a fundamentally cross-functional role - you will regularly be working with Operations, Technology, Marketing, and People team leadership on a variety of project types.

What your first year will look like: You''ll take ownership of the parts of close and reporting, build a working understanding of the business through its numbers, and grow into broader ownership of internal ROI analyses to drive company growth.

Responsibilities:

• Own the recurring components of the monthly close, and work alongside our external accounting partner to hold the close calendar.
• Draft the monthly reporting package, covering total company and state-level P&Ls, variable unit economics, and the leadership financials deck, to drive insight into the health of the business.
• Build and maintain department- and state-level budget versus actual reporting. Work with budget owners across the company to explain variances and raise issues early enough to act on them.
• Prepare external financial deliverables, including board and lender materials
• Support annual planning and re-forecast cycles, partnering with department leads to collect and consolidate expense budgets
• Run ad hoc internal ROI analyses in collaboration with business partners to help drive company decision-making.

Skills & Competencies:

• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or a comparable analytical finance role; with a track record of owning monthly close and reporting cycles. Strong accounting foundation, including accrual concepts and how entries flow through the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills. You can build a model from scratch, and audit someone else''s, follow the logic, and find the thing that''s wrong with it (if any).
• Stellar communications and stakeholder management with a passion for aligning all participants; able to create strong points of view to achieve Ophelia's strategy, backed with data.
• Experience in healthcare (ideally digital healthcare), multi-state operations, or another regulated environment; or exposure to claims-based revenue
• Passionate about our mission to make evidence-based addiction treatment universally accessible.
• Direct experience with Netsuite, Claude & Claude for Excel, or a BI tool such as Lightdash is a plus.

• We set compensation based on the level and skills required for the role. We value pay transparency and equity, and are committed to fair pay. In order to prevent pay disparities and reduce time spent in negotiations, we take a "first and best" offer approach: this means we're not holding any compensation back from our candidates, and you can feel confident that our pay is fair and does not vary based on the strength of someone's negotiation skills.
• Compensation is dynamic at Ophelia: as long as the company performs well and meets our targets, there will be opportunities for increased compensation annually. We're happy to discuss this approach and our bands if you have questions during the interview process.

$125,000-$130,000 USD
