Position Summary
The Strategy & Portfolio Management team sits at the center of Carlyle AlpInvest's investment platform, providing analysis and insight that spans the firm's Primary, Secondary, Portfolio Finance, and Co-Investment strategies across both Institutional and Retail/Semi-liquid products. The team works closely with colleagues across investment, fundraising, investor relations, risk, legal, and compliance, and across Carlyle AlpInvest's offices in New York, London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo.
As a Senior Analyst, you will develop deep knowledge about private equity portfolio management and construction. You will set up and maintain in-depth analyses of the firm's portfolios, working with large, complex datasets to create, manage, analyze, report, and explain investment and portfolio information. The work draws on Carlyle AlpInvest's proprietary portfolio database, industry benchmarks, AI tools, and financial models, with an additional focus on developing and scaling these tools and processes to support Carlyle AlpInvest's growing investor and product base. Analysis from the team feeds directly into strategic portfolio management decisions, with regular exposure to investment team leadership and senior management.

The compensation range for this role is specific to New York and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $120,000.
In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
