Description / Position Overview

Senior Analyst - Transit Assets

About the Job: The City of Colorado Springs is ready to welcome a Senior Analyst - Transit Assets for the Public Works division. As a Senior Analyst for this team, you will manage Transit Asset Plans and Capital Asset Projects.

Work Schedule: This position will be required to provide after hours support.

This is a special at-will position funded by a FTA grant received by Transit annually.

As a Senior Analyst for the Transit Assets team, you will:

  • Create scopes of work and independent cost estimates
  • Management and oversight of vendor contracts
  • Transit asset inventory and accountability, recording fixed asset acquisitions, dispositions and depreciation, and capital planning
  • Manage the Transit Asset Management and Transit ADA Transition Plans
  • Asset data management and reporting
  • Transit Capital Asset project coordination and oversight
  • Manage work quality, training, instruction, and scheduling of personnel within the Asset Group
  • Track and manage Information Technology requests
  • Review and update policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

Knowledge of:

  • Asset management
  • Capital Project Management
  • Contracting process
  • Risk Management
  • Budget implementation and management
  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations

Ability to:

  • Oversee, coordinate, and implement assigned projects
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related area of study.
  • Five years of full-time, professional experience in a related field
