Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Android development with Kotlin, mobile test automation, and native app delivery and a proven ability to design, develop, automate, and release high-quality Android applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and prototype Android applications for phones and tablets.
• Build and maintain Android native test automation using Kotlin and Appium.
• Participate in the full app lifecycle including automation, testing, and release.
• Collaborate with product and design teams on ideas, prototypes, estimates, and feature definitions.
• Ensure application quality, performance, and reliability to specifications.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and defects prior to release.
• Drive continuous improvement of products, processes, and tools using best practices.
• Write and maintain documentation for features under development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Typically 5-7 years of professional experience with proven app delivery.
• 5+ years on Android platform using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Strong Core Java development experience.
• Experience creating automated tests with Appium for mobile applications.
• Designing and building native Android applications.
• Proficiency with Kotlin, Core Java, RESTful web services, XML, and JSON.
• Proficient with code versioning tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with biometrics, push notifications, and Camera APIs.
• Ability to publish and support applications through release processes.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with continuous integration and unit testing.
• Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution capabilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Exposure to iOS technologies such as Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C, and Xcode is a plus.

Work Arrangement & Hiring Process

• Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week in Charlotte, NC.
• Start timeline targeted for September or October.
• Interview process includes 1-2 video rounds and an in-person requirement.
• Glider ID verification will be required.
• Vendors may submit up to 3 candidates.
