The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise Java, microservices, integration architecture, and cloud platforms and a proven ability to design and guide scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise solutions.Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end application and integration architecture for critical enterprise systems.Define and document high-level and low-level designs, reference architectures, and solution roadmaps.Partner with stakeholders, engineers, and technical leads to align solutions with enterprise strategy and standards.Guide microservices, API, and event-driven designs with a focus on security, scalability, and reliability.Conduct architectural reviews, assess technical debt, and evaluate solution alternatives.Support CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native implementations across environments.Required Skills & Qualifications:10+ years in software development and application design, with 5+ years as an Application Architect or Technical Lead.Enterprise Java with Spring/Spring Boot and Hibernate; strong J2EE background.Designing multi-tier and microservices architectures, REST APIs, and integration patterns.Cloud-native design on AWS, Azure, or GCP; containerization with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.Event-driven and messaging systems such as Kafka or MQ.Application security frameworks including OAuth2, SAML, and JWT.Relational and NoSQL databases; API gateways and middleware.CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps; build tools Maven/Gradle; API specs with Swagger/OpenAPI.Creation of architecture diagrams and design documentation; UML, sequence, and ER diagrams.Tools: Git or Bitbucket; Jira and Confluence.Strong communication, presentation, leadership, and mentoring abilities.Preferred Skills:Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Certifications: AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, TOGAF, or SAFe Architect.Experience with application modernization or cloud migration programs.Domain-driven design and API-first design and governance.Background in financial services or other regulated industries.Ability to drive enterprise-wide architecture standards and influence technical strategy.Why BCforward?At BCforward, we believe in advancing lives and careers.
