Senior Application Developer — Atlassian / Jira Cloud Migration Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Atlassian Application Developer. The selected candidate will lead Jira and Confluence cloud migration efforts, provide Identity and Access Management (IAM) expertise, and support the development, modernization, and maintenance of enterprise collaboration solutions.

This role requires a strong combination of Atlassian platform expertise, software development experience, and cloud migration leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Active Public Trust 
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
• 10+ years of experience in software/application development
• 10+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining custom Jira solutions
• Hands-on experience with Jira Administration and Confluence Administration (workflows, issue types, custom fields, permissions, plugins)
• Experience migrating Jira and Confluence environments to Atlassian Cloud
• Experience with the Atlassian Cloud platform
• Strong Java and JavaScript development experience
• Experience with SQL and relational databases, including stored procedures and SQL Managed Instance
• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) implementation and administration, including SAML, SSO/MFA, and Active Directory/LDAP integration
• Experience developing and modernizing Azure .NET web applications (Azure App Service, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure DevOps)
• Experience with source control systems, development frameworks, and modern development tools

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and execution of Jira and Confluence migrations to Atlassian Cloud
• Design, develop, and maintain custom Jira solutions, plugins, and integrations
• Administer and support enterprise Jira and Confluence environments
• Provide Identity and Access Management (IAM) expertise, including SSO, MFA, SAML, and Active Directory/LDAP
• Develop and maintain Java, JavaScript, and Azure .NET-based applications and integrations
• Modernize applications built on older technologies for new platforms
• Plan and execute major Jira and Confluence upgrades, and apply updates and security patches across Jira, Confluence, and WebSphere
• Support database design, development, and optimization activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and platform issues
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to a small team of developers
• Produce technical documentation and implementation artifacts
• Support modernization and continuous improvement initiatives across enterprise systems
