Description

As a member of the IDEXX BioAnalytics IT team, you'll design, develop, and enhance software solutions that support laboratory operations while delivering an exceptional experience for both laboratory staff and customers. You'll have the opportunity to take features from concept through implementation while helping modernize critical applications that support scientific discovery.

IDEXX BioAnalytics takes a novel approach to developing diagnostic testing solutions that advance both animal and human health. We partner with leading pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology organizations, and academic research institutions to provide laboratory services that support scientific discovery. As a dynamic and growing division of IDEXX, BioAnalytics specializes in animal health monitoring, preclinical laboratory pathology services, and biologic materials testing, including Cell Line Authentication.

Our technology team develops and supports a customized Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) platform that serves as the operational backbone of BioAnalytics laboratory services. The platform manages the complete laboratory workflow-from customer orders and sample processing through testing, reporting, billing, and customer master data. You'll also help evolve the BioAnalytics Client Portal, our customer-facing application for online ordering, sample tracking, and laboratory reporting.

In This Role

  • You will design, develop, test, and maintain enhancements for our customized LIMS platform and BioAnalytics Client Portal.
  • You will take features from business requirements through solution design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • You will analyze business needs and recommend scalable, maintainable technical solutions using sound software design principles.
  • You will partner with business analysts, laboratory operations, product owners, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software that supports critical laboratory workflows.
  • You will develop modern web applications using the Microsoft technology stack, including C#, ASP.NET, Vue.js, JavaScript, T-SQL, and Azure DevOps.
  • You will troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
  • You will participate in architecture discussions and recommend design patterns, frameworks, and technical approaches that improve scalability and maintainability.
  • You will mentor junior developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
  • You will contribute to CI/CD processes, automated testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • You will collaborate across technology teams to build integrated solutions that support BioAnalytics laboratory operations.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • 5-7 years of professional application development experience.
  • Strong experience developing applications using C#, ASP.NET, Vue.js, JavaScript, T-SQL, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience designing enterprise software solutions from requirements through implementation.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, design patterns, and modern development frameworks.
  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD practices.
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Experience mentoring developers and collaborating effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), healthcare technology, or scientific/laboratory software is highly desirable.

What you can expect from us:

  • Base annual salary target: $100000 - $125000 (yes, we do have flexibility if needed)
  • Opportunity for annual cash bonus
  • Health / Dental / Vision Benefits Day-One
