Job Title: Senior Application Programmer Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Application Programmer to support the development, administration, and enhancement of a custom-built .NET application. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, and MSSQL, along with experience working in Agile environments. This role involves hands-on development, code reviews, performance optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Develop, administer, and configure a custom-built .NET application Provide technical knowledge transfer, training, documentation, and mentorship to State personnel Offer oversight and guidance for application enhancements and performance improvements Perform code reviews, testing, and validation of new code Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives Collaborate with Technical Architects to ensure compliance with State standards and best practices Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with: C# ASP.NET Core (version 6.0 or later) Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) 2+ years of enterprise-level software development experience 2+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Preferred Skills & Experience: Experience leading a team of application developers within the Microsoft technology stack Experience with distributed systems (Microservices/SOA) Reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, or Tableau Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy) Strong experience with Git version control and branching strategies Front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, or TypeScript Strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep) Understanding of web application security best practices Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS Familiarity with API integrations and external data sources Experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Service Bus) and asynchronous programming ***Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor.
