Job Title: Senior Application Programmer Mainframe Systems 864
Location: Downey, CA 90242
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Assignment type: Temporary (12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire)
Pay rate: $70-$75/hour
Responsibilities:- Lead complex mainframe application design, development, testing, implementation, and support
- Analyze system requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Develop, debug, maintain, and optimize application code
- Design system architecture, databases, interfaces, and output formats
- Perform software testing, integration, and documentation
- Ensure application security, quality, scalability, and reliability
- Evaluate and implement new software technologies
Qualifications:- 7+ years of mainframe systems design and programming experience
- Strong knowledge of software development, systems architecture, databases, and IT infrastructure
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (experience may substitute)
Additional Skills and Experience:- Strong ADABAS/NATURAL, JCL, TSO/ISPF, Predict, and N2O background
- 7+ years of ADABAS/NATURAL mainframe programming experience
- Experience with EntireX, SuperNatural, Cloverleaf, and CA Spool
- Languages: COBOL, Natural/SuperNatural, IMS/DB/DC, DB2/SQL, Assembler, SAS, CICS, MF FOCUS
- Tools/Utilities: JCL, TSO/ISPF, IBM OPTIM, FILE Manager, SPUFI, ICEMAN/ICETOOLS, SORT, VSAM, CLIST, FTP, CA Gen, CA Endevor, CA Spool, IBM WebSphere, Debugger, N2O
- Databases: DB2, IMS, ADABAS, FOCUS
- OS: z/OS
- Other: EntireX, ASP, HTML, Cloverleaf
