Duration: 12+ Months

Rate: $65-$68/hour W2

Position OverviewSeeking an Application / Production Support Engineer to provide platform and production support for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting Java applications and Oracle databases, along with exposure to Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica DataStage. Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Unix/Linux, and workflow management tools is highly desirable.

Must-Have Skills

• Production Support or Application Support experience
• Java application support experience specifically, or basic Java programming experience
• Strong Oracle database knowledge
• Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica DataStage
• Ability to understand and explain an application's purpose, architecture, and technology stack
• Experience troubleshooting application performance issues

Preferred Skills

• Splunk or other application/infrastructure monitoring tools
• Unix/Linux
• Workflow management tools
• Java/.NET application experience
• Previous banking or financial services experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production and application support for enterprise applications.
• Support applications built on Java/.NET technologies.
• Monitor application health and investigate production incidents.
• Troubleshoot application performance, availability, and data-related issues.
• Support Informatica PowerCenter/DataStage platforms and associated workflows.
• Use SQL and Oracle to investigate application and database issues.
• Review logs and monitoring data using Splunk and/or other monitoring tools.
• Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution with development, database, infrastructure, and other support teams.
• Understand application workflows and dependencies and communicate technical issues clearly.
