Job Title: Senior Applications Analyst (Epic Beacon)

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: 100% REMOTE
RATE: $75- $95/ HR on W2

Position Summary

The Senior Applications Analyst is responsible for the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of healthcare IT applications, with a strong focus on Epic systems. This role serves as a key liaison between IT and clinical/business stakeholders, delivering solutions to complex technical and workflow challenges. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Epic applications, particularly Beacon, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, build, implementation, and support of Epic applications, with emphasis on Beacon module
  • Analyze business and clinical requirements to develop effective system solutions
  • Act as the primary liaison between IT and operational/clinical departments
  • Troubleshoot complex application issues and coordinate resolutions with vendors as needed
  • Lead or support projects, including planning, execution, and status reporting
  • Ensure proper documentation, impact analysis, and change management processes
  • Provide recommendations for system enhancements and process improvements
  • Support system upgrades, optimizations, and new implementations
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development
  • Participate in workshops, special interest groups, and ongoing training initiatives
  • Ensure alignment with organizational goals, including diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives


Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of overall experience , including 3+ years in healthcare IT applications
  • At least one Epic certification (active and maintained)
  • Strong experience with Epic application build, configuration, and support
  • Deep understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working with clinical workflows and healthcare systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Epic Beacon Certification (strongly preferred)
  • Experience supporting oncology workflows
  • Prior experience in EHR implementation, upgrades, or optimization
  • Experience training end-users and supporting adoption

Certification Requirements

  • Must obtain required Epic certification(s) within 90 days of training (if not already certified)
  • Maintain all relevant Epic certifications for the role
