Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 or more years of experience in applications engineering, product development, or technical sales
  • Strong understanding of routings and overhead rate application including machine versus labor allocations
  • Proficiency in accurate financial cost modeling to drive institutional accountability
  • Expertise in electromechanical system design and advanced manufacturing processes
  • Strong knowledge of design for assembly techniques and manufacturing materials
  • Proficiency with detailed engineering documentation and structured Bill of Materials management
  • Experience with ITS systems or the transportation industry is a major advantage
  • Background with Solidworks is considered a plus
  • Competency in general business software including Excel and PowerPoint
Responsibilities
  • Formulate comprehensive cost estimates by analyzing technical blueprints, customer plans, and related project documentation
  • Author the detailed functional and technical elements of complex project submittal packages to guarantee compliance with exact specifications
  • Consult cross-functionally with engineers, production personnel, and sales teams to identify required mechanical and electrical components
  • Provide advanced design and technical development support directly to external consultants, distributors, and end users
  • Develop technical specifications, instructions, and specialized training materials to effectively articulate complex hardware technology to business and technical audiences
  • Manage accurate records of target accounts, quotes, and contract deliverables within corporate databases while monitoring regulatory compliance
