Are you a licensed Architect who thrives at the intersection of creative design and technical execution? Thompson & Litton is looking for a Project Architect to lead high-impact projects from concept through construction. Join a multi-disciplined team where your mentorship shapes the next generation of designers and your vision transforms the communities we serve.

    The Role: Concept to Completion

As a Project Architect, you will be the creative and technical anchor for a diverse range of projects. You will:

    • Lead the Design Journey: Manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring innovative solutions meet practical building requirements.
    • Visualize & Create: Utilize a powerful tech stack including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite to bring complex designs to life.
    • Mentor & Inspire: Guide junior staff and interns, fostering a culture of professional growth and design excellence.
    • Collaborate Broadly: Partner with clients, consultants, and our internal MEP/Structural teams to deliver seamless, integrated solutions.
    • Master the Details: Ensure every design adheres to building codes, zoning ordinances, and the highest standards of construction best practices.

    What You Bring

    • Experience: 8+ years of comprehensive architectural experience with a proven track record of full-scope project involvement.
    • Credentials: Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch); NCARB Certification and Tennessee Licensure (or immediate reciprocity eligibility).
    • Technical Depth: A deep understanding of construction techniques, materials, and integrated building systems (Structural, MEP, Fire Protection).
    • Communication: Exceptional visual and verbal storytelling skills to engage clients and lead teams.
    • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.

    Your Portfolio at T&L

You won't be stuck in a single niche. Our Project Architects lead work across:

    • Education: K-12 and Higher Education facilities.
    • Civic & Cultural: Government buildings and community landmarks.
    • Commercial & Industrial: Private sector housing, retail, and industrial spaces.

    Why Thompson & Litton?

    • Intentional Integration: We value our culture. You'll start on-site for the first 90 days to fully immerse yourself in our team and standards, after which we offer remote work flexibility to support your work-life balance.
