Senior Architect | Residential Remodeling

We are seeking a Senior Architect to join an established and growing residential design-build team. In this role as the Senior Architect, you will lead the architectural design and drafting process for residential remodeling and renovation projects, collaborating with clients, designers, estimators, and construction professionals to deliver exceptional results. This position is ideal for an experienced architect who enjoys working directly with homeowners, managing multiple projects, and creating detailed construction documents that bring remodeling visions to life.

Key Impact Areas
Lead Architectural Design & Documentation

• Develop architectural plans, construction drawings, and permit-ready documentation for residential remodeling projects.
• Produce accurate floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction documents.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
• Review drawings for quality, constructability, and completeness.

Client Collaboration

• Meet with homeowners to understand their goals, project vision, and budget.
• Present design concepts, review plans, and incorporate client feedback throughout the design process.
• Provide exceptional communication and guidance from initial consultation through project completion.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with designers, project managers, estimators, and construction personnel to ensure successful project execution.
• Participate in internal design reviews and planning meetings.
• Provide architectural support throughout construction as needed.

Project Management

• Manage multiple residential projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Coordinate project schedules and design deliverables.
• Proactively identify and resolve design challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Responsibilities

• Create and revise architectural drawings using Revit, Chief Architect, or similar drafting software.
• Develop detailed remodeling plans that accurately reflect existing conditions and proposed improvements.
• Maintain organized project documentation and drawing revisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (minimum four-year Architecture degree required).
• Minimum of 7 years of architectural drafting experience, with a strong emphasis on residential remodeling and renovation.
• Experience with Revit and/or Chief Architect.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, detailing, and building codes.
• Experience meeting directly with clients and collaborating with internal project teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects while staying organized and focused.
