Description The Senior Architect will lead project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of project types, including corporate, healthcare, sport venues, data centers, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities. The Senior Architect will lead the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting architectural plans according to budget constraints, environmental factors, or client needs.
Lead Architectural Design Lead architectural design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.
Develop, Modify, and Review Production Drawings Develop, modify, and review production drawings for healthcare facilities, airports, educational institutions, and governmental and military facilities.
Participate in Project Planning Participate in the development of project schedules, scope, budget, staffing planning, and construction planning. Responsible for effective management of change orders.
Expert Knowledge and Skills Applies expert knowledge of commonly used architectural concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the architectural industry. Compiles studies and reports. Writes specifications. Applies knowledge and experience to complex projects, finds, develops non-standard design solutions.
Quality Review and Assurance Quality review production drawings for a variety of projects and project-related data as required by the project managers to verify design compliance with project, client, and industry standards, including constructability.
Quality Review and Construction Administration Quality review the construction administration, including coordination with field personnel to resolve design-related installation issues, calculations, field inspections, and testing of materials.
Field Inspections and Measurements Leads field inspections, installation measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
Technical Reports and Presentations Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications.
Building Relationships and Customer Satisfaction Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers, and contractors, and develop new business opportunities. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met.
Sales and Marketing Efforts Participate in sales and marketing efforts, identify leads, and manage key pursuits.
Cost Proposals and Budget Management Lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance. Prepare, present, and manage project budgets and cost estimates. Report project performance.
Leadership and Guidance Provide leadership guidance and instruction to the architectural practice. Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
Quality Assurance and Compliance Responsible for QAQC process adherence. Responsible for effective communication with other architectural teams. Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
Other Duties Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program and 8 years related experience Required or Masters Degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program and 7 years related experience Required Minimum eight years of architectural experience preferred. Registered architect preferred. Portfolio demonstrating design and graphic presentation skills is preferred. Expert knowledge of standard architectural concepts, including building codes, ADA standards, exterior envelope design, technical detailing, and specification writing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a problem-solving environment and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Expert software and computer skills preferred, including BIM, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering software. Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, and organization. Experience in leading design teams for large complex projects, delegating tasks, and guiding internal and client groups towards successful design outcomes. Ability to conduct detailed quality reviews of architectural documents. Experience with construction phase activities, including site visits, shop drawing review, and correspondence with contractors and clients. Ability to travel.

Compensation The expected compensation range for this position is $135,000.00 - $195,000.00 Yearly. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
