Dewberry is seeking a Senior Architect with experience in managing client programs to join our Peoria, IL office. Experience in project types including Industrial, Commercial Offices, and Institutional work is desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage client relationships is a plus. Must have a professional degree, Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited university and have a minimum of 8-years post graduate work experience. Individuals who are currently licensed or are within 1 year of becoming licensed are preferred. This position offers growth opportunities to a candidate able to expand existing client relationships within this region.

Responsibilities:Successful candidate must be a self-starter, able to engage with clients in determining and responding to their capital program needs. Candidate be comfortable working in a collaborative environment and possess the technical knowledge to put buildings together and maintain design intent while also offering design improvement. Must be proficient in leading the development of construction documents including drawings and specifications. Ability to take minimal instruction and go forward with projects or project components. Shall have the desire and ability to understand full project information from design through construction while also managing information regarding the client’s larger facility improvement programs.
The projected range for this position is $120,000-$157,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
