The Senior Army Instructor Colonel JROTC Instructor teaches the High School Military Science program (JROTC) to a diverse student population (9th - 12th Grade). This position will be at John F. Kennedy High School.

What You'll Do:
- Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
- Monitor, supervise, coordinate and enforce rules of conduct and behavior for assigned students
- Reinforce positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy. Observes, evaluates, reports and records students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Prepares lesson plans and materials according to curriculum guidelines.
- Prepares, administers, assigns, and grades tests and assignments to evaluate student progress, reporting grades using District software
- Prepares student, attendance, and activity reports as required by administrators
- Communicates with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems
What You'll Need:
- Senior Army Instructors (SAI) are required to have a Bachelor's degree. Army Instructors (AI) are required by the Army to have an Associate's degree.
- Be formally commissioned by a branch of the military.
- Be formally certified by the Army before you may apply for this position.

- Previous formal Military experience required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Effective time management and organizational skills

- The ability to take responsibility for one's own performance
- Works effectively as member of multi-disciplinary team
