A client with Kforce is seeking a Senior Art Director (Contractor) to join their team in Mountain View, CA. Summary: The client, the leader in tax preparation services, is on a mission to deliver a new era of people-centric tax experiences that inspires confidence in everyone. Our in-house agency brings that mission to life through innovative campaigns and initiatives that position the client at the forefront of the industry. As a Contract Senior Art Director, you'll lead the adaptation of national campaigns into market-specific, multi-channel creative for the client's growing retail footprint. From in-store graphics to paid social, you'll help translate our centralized creative strategy into local visual storytelling that feels relevant, modern, and clear - in dozens of distinct markets. Duties:
  • Take centralized brand campaigns and scale them across 100+ stores, translating strategy into localized messaging and visual design for both internal (employee-facing) and external (customer-facing) communications
  • Work closely with a copy lead and strategist to align voice, tone, and relevance for each market - co-owning how the work lands
  • Push existing brand systems and own art direction for location-specific creative across print, social, in-store, and OOH placements
  • Build modular, flexible systems that support high-volume production while protecting brand integrity
  • Guide a supporting production designer and collaborate directly with cross-functional teams - including store marketing, media buying, and strategy
  • Present creative rationale clearly to both creative and non-creative stakeholders, translating design thinking into actionable decisions
  • Support the creative lead in rollout planning and market prioritization, helping scale campaigns with empathy, clarity, and consistency
  • Stay highly organized and responsive - managing deliverables across multiple markets and formats with care

Requirements:

  • Portfolio that demonstrates campaign design excellence across print, in-store, social, and environmental placements
  • Demonstrated experience adapting national campaigns to local or regional audiences
  • Demonstrated experience working on high-volume, scalable campaign systems - including templated content and localized variants
  • Experience in OOH, retail, or performance marketing strongly preferred
  • Bonus: familiarity with motion campaigns and ability to collaborate with motion partners effectively Creative and cultural fluency
  • Deep interest in audience-first storytelling - with a strong sense of how different
messages land across cultural, geographic, and demographic contexts
  • Proven ability to make nuanced content decisions - from copy tone to image selection

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
