Are you a strategic supply chain professional who thrives on solving complex material challenges, building strong customer relationships, and driving operational excellence? We are seeking a Senior Asset Manager to join our Supply Chain team and play a critical role in ensuring material availability, supporting customer programs, and optimizing inventory performance.

In this role, youll manage material planning, customer-owned inventory, excess inventory resolution, procurement coordination, and commodity strategies while partnering closely with Purchasing, Planning, Program Management, and customers. Youll proactively identify supply risks, develop mitigation plans, and help ensure products are delivered on time to support business objectives.

How Will You Make an Impact?

Material Planning & Inventory Management

Analyze material requirements for production kits over a rolling 6-8-week planning horizon.

Plan and commit material for assigned customer programs to support production schedules.

Identify material shortages or supply gaps that could impact kit readiness and customer deliveries.

Monitor material availability and proactively mitigate supply risks that may impact revenue.

Perform Bill of Materials (BOM) profile analyses to identify sole-source components, long lead-time items, risk buys, and obsolete inventory.

Conduct Engineering Change Order (ECO) material impact analysis and disposition planning.

Customer Asset & Inventory Management

Manage customer-owned inventory purchases and coordinate material alignment with Program Management.

Provide customers with weekly excess inventory approval requests and drive timely resolution.

Coordinate excess inventory sales, BOM updates, and material shipments back to customers.

Partner with customers to process purchase order revisions resulting from inventory adjustments or final count variances.

Prepare and analyze monthly excess inventory reports, validating inventory status and recommending corrective actions.

Ensure component cancellations and material returns are completed for assigned customer accounts.

Supply Chain Coordination

Partner with Commodity Buyers to monitor pull-in activities and resolve material shortages.

Run "What-If" analyses to support customer pull-in and push-out requests.

Develop and implement commodity and material management strategies that improve supply continuity and inventory performance.

Collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Customer Service to resolve material issues and support operational goals.

Continuous Improvement

Maintain accurate reporting and documentation to support inventory planning and customer communications.

Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, inventory management, and operational efficiency.

Support quarterly material risk mitigation initiatives and continuous improvement programs.

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers while delivering exceptional service.

Your Background

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.

5-7 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or inventory management.

3-5 years of experience in planning, procurement, or purchasing.

Experience working within ERP/MRP systems.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Experience performing material planning, inventory analysis, and supply risk management.

Experience supporting customer-owned inventory and excess inventory resolution.

Nice to Haves

APICS (CPIM) or NAPM certification.

MBA or Masters degree in Business Administration or a related field.

Experience with ManEx and Spotlight software.

Experience developing commodity strategies and supplier management initiatives.

Knowledge of electronic manufacturing services (EMS) or contract manufacturing environments.

Experience leading cross-functional supply chain improvement initiatives.
