We help individuals and families navigate complex legal matters with compassion, clarity, and strong advocacy.We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our team. This position is ideal for an attorney with a strong litigation background who enjoys courtroom advocacy, client interaction, and managing cases from inception through resolution.While experience in probate, estate planning, or probate litigation is a plus, it is not required. We are willing to train the right attorney who brings solid litigation experience, strong legal judgment, and a desire to grow in a specialized practice area.What You'll Do• Manage a litigation caseload involving probate disputes, fiduciary disputes, estate-related litigation, and other civil matters• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, settlement conferences, and contested proceedings• Draft motions, pleadings, discovery requests, responses, briefs, and legal memoranda• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies• Take and defend depositions• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings, mediations, and trial• Negotiate settlements and assist clients in resolving disputes efficiently• Maintain regular communication with clients and provide exceptional client service• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to achieve successful outcomesQualifications• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with a preference for litigation• Demonstrated courtroom experience, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and contested matters• Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills• Ability to independently manage a caseload and meet deadlines• Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills• Strong organizational skills and attention to detailPreferred Qualifications• Experience in civil litigation, family law litigation, probate litigation, commercial litigation, or fiduciary disputes• Experience serving as first or second chair in trial• Experience arguing contested motions and evidentiary hearings• Familiarity with Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Rules of Evidence• Experience handling emotionally sensitive client mattersWe believe in providing a stable and supportive environment where attorneys can build a long-term career.• Salary and Bonus Structure• Comprehensive medical insurance• Optional dental and vision coverage• Texas State Bar dues paid by the firm• CLE reimbursement for approved professional development• Generous paid time off• Flexible work environment• Professional development opportunities• Collaborative and supportive team cultureAt Homestead Estate Lawyers, we value professionalism, integrity, and exceptional client service.
