It serves clients nationwide and in major global financial hubs, offering professional services that align with the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct and applicable laws and regulations.Job Description We are seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join our growing outsourced Client Accounting Services practice. In a hybrid, cloud‑based environment this role will act as a Senior Accounting Associate supporting multiple property accounting clients across the country.You Will Enjoy This Role If You are looking for a new challenge and can thrive on variety.You are comfortable with technology and can help businesses become automated with cloud accounting solutions.You want to be part of a fast‑growing, innovative practice where your hard work contributes to continuous improvement.You value a corporate accounting department schedule but also want investment in technology and training.What You Will Do Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages for each assigned property.Maintain accounting records for ownership entities holding real estate assets.Monitor compliance of ownership, debt, and other agreements.Prepare annualized income and expense projections to support cash‑flow management and investor approvals.Analyze excess net cash flow distribution calculations.Record journal entries for significant transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.Prepare data for annual financial statement audit and tax return preparation.Assist in annual budget preparation and review.Prepare tenant‑reconciliation settlements with Property Management, covering operating expenses, real‑estate taxes, utilities, etc.Enter new leases and lease renewals in property‑management software.Learn and grow from on‑the‑job coaching, mentoring, and firm‑wide learning programs.Build relationships internally and with clients.Support team development through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting.Three or more years of experience in commercial real‑estate or public accounting with exposure to commercial real estate.Background in development/construction accounting is preferred.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.Experience with MRI or Yardi is preferred.Excellent analytical, technical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.Exceptional verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time‑management skills.Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.Equal Opportunity Statement Baker Tilly is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
