The Opportunity
A high-growth employment law practice group in the Sherman Oaks/Los Angeles market is hiring a Senior Associate to run their own docket independently. The firm is scaling and needs an attorney who can absorb complexity immediately: multi-plaintiff litigation, single-plaintiff matters, wage & hour, and FEHA claims, with real variety and real stakes. This isn't a seat for someone who wants tasks assigned to them. It's a seat for someone who wants the whole case.
What You'll Own
- Independently manage a diverse litigation docket spanning complex multi-plaintiff cases, single-plaintiff matters, wage & hour, FEHA, and more
- Drive cases from intake through resolution with full ownership and accountability
- Draft high-quality pleadings, motions, and briefs that reflect the firm's standards
- Collaborate with a sharp, collegial employment law department that expects excellence from everyone, including themselves
What We Need From You
Must-haves:
- 7+ years of employment law litigation experience
- Defense-side experience
Nice-to-haves:
- Demonstrated range across both high-volume litigation and complex, single-plaintiff matters
- A track record of running your own docket with minimal oversight, rather than working primarily under senior attorney direction
- Comfort holding a strong opinion in a room full of people who also have strong opinions
