We are seeking a Senior Associate OR Manager, Portfolio Financial Reporting to join our client’s team. In this role, you will work closely with the accounting and portfolio management departments and play a key role in financial forecasting, reporting, and portfolio analysis within a leading real estate investment firm. Additionally, the position contributes to the ongoing financial management of multiple institutional real estate portfolios, providing strategic insights and supporting data-driven investment decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain the integrity of the investment management platform.
  • Collaborate with accounting, data analytics, and portfolio management teams to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Monitor portfolio transaction activity, including acquisitions, financings, dispositions, and other capital events for reporting and forecasting purposes.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and performance drivers, maintaining KPIs and management dashboards for leadership review.
  • Support quarterly investor reporting alongside senior FP&A and portfolio management leadership, including composition analysis, valuation trends, benchmark comparisons, and performance summaries.
  • Assist in annual forecasting and long-range investment planning by aggregating property-level data and creating portfolio-level projections.
  • Participate in the preparation and presentation of portfolio implementation plans for investors.
  • Conduct return, promote, and waterfall calculations, ensuring accuracy and transparency in performance reporting.
  • Evaluate and refine financial processes, models, and systems to improve reporting efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial plans and broader strategic objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 years of prior experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the real estate investment industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Prior experience with financial ERPs such as Pereview, Yardi, or MRI.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Real Estate.
  • Experience managing institutional real estate portfolios and investor reporting.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and enhancing reporting frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, portfolio analysis, and performance reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Compensation:

Our client ultimately may pay more or less than the posted salary range, and the salary range may be modified in the future. Non-base compensation: Employees are eligible for discretionary annual bonuses, dependent upon individual and company performance.
