Senior Associate

Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Splunk Support Engineer (Splunk Administrator) for their Houston, TX /Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:

• Handling forwarders, forwarding different types of log files
• Configuring Indexers, Search Heads, Deployment/Management Servers, Deployment Clients
• Handling Indexer Clustering along with Search Head Clustering architecture
• License management (Master License, Pooling, Usage Report)
• Migrating entire Splunk environment during Datacenter Migration
• Creating and binding fields with Splunk Metadata using Regular Expressions
• Troubleshooting Splunk Admin tasks
• Forwarding data from different applications using Universal Forwarders, HTTP Event Collector etc
• Managing user settings, roles, and access management
• Building Splunk dashboards using XML
• Creating scheduled alerts for real-time monitoring
• Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for business requirements
• Working on knowledge objects such as Event Types, Tags, Field extractions, Lookups
• Installing, configuring, and using apps such as Splunk DB Connect, WMI
• Working on Cloud Environment
