Job DetailsPosition Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Associate (8–10 years) who is ready to step out of back-room brief-writing and independently run their own cases from inception through trial. This role focuses primarily on defense-side litigation across commercial disputes, False Claims Act (FCA) matters, and white-collar government investigations.
What You Will Do
- Case Leadership: Serve as primary counsel running high-stakes litigation dockets, managing case strategy, client communications, and junior team members.
- Practice Breakdown: Lead matters centered in Commercial Litigation & False Claims Act (60%) and White-Collar Defense & Government Investigations (40%).
- Stand-Up Advocacy: Regularly conduct and defend depositions, argue dispositive motions in state and federal courts, and participate in trials and arbitrations.
- Strategic Drafting: Draft complex dispositive motions, appellate briefs, and strategic responses to government investigations.
Candidate Qualifications
- Experience: 8–10 years of progressive litigation experience with demonstrated autonomy running cases.
- Bar Admission: Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Track Record: Demonstrated hands-on trial, deposition, motion, and courtroom experience with a strong history of career stability (2+ year tenures preferred).
Target Background (Must possess at least 2 of the following 4):
- Top 50 Law School J.D.
- Federal Judicial Clerkship (District or Circuit)
- Department of Justice (DOJ) or government prosecutorial experience
- Big Law litigation experience
