ABOUT THE ROLEA global financial services organization is seeking a
Senior Associate, Operations (Night Shift) to support overnight foreign exchange and financial markets operations. This role combines FX operations, client support, systems administration, and operational troubleshooting within a time-sensitive environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong FX knowledge and an understanding of financial markets, along with experience supporting operational processes, systems, and clients in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Support overnight FX operations and ensure critical processes are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
- Monitor operational workflows, systems, and transaction activity throughout the overnight processing window.
- Investigate and resolve operational exceptions, system issues, and client-related queries.
- Provide operational and technical support for systems used within the FX operations environment.
- Perform system administration and routine operational support activities as required.
- Work with internal teams and external clients to resolve transaction, processing, and service-related issues.
- Monitor market and operational developments that may impact overnight FX activity.
- Support daily reconciliations, controls, reporting, and other operational processes.
- Escalate material issues and system incidents through established procedures.
- Assist with testing, system enhancements, and operational change initiatives.
- Maintain accurate procedures and documentation for overnight operational processes.
- Collaborate with global Operations, Technology, Risk, and other teams to maintain service continuity.
- Contribute to process improvements and initiatives designed to strengthen operational efficiency and controls.
QUALIFICATIONS- Strong experience in financial markets or banking operations.
- FX operations experience is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of foreign exchange products, processes, and market fundamentals.
- Experience working in a high-volume, time-sensitive operational environment.
- Experience with operational systems, system support, or basic system administration.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience providing customer or client support in a financial services environment.
- Ability to investigate complex operational issues and determine appropriate escalation paths.
- Strong understanding of operational controls, procedures, and risk management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently during an overnight shift while collaborating effectively with global teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
