    Description

Alpha FMC is a leading global consultancy to the financial services industry. Our Strategy & Deals division works with corporate clients, Private Equity firms, and investors on growth strategy, M&A strategy, and Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) engagements. We combine deep financial services expertise with rigorous consulting methods to deliver high-impact insights for our clients globally.

    Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our growing Strategy & Deals team in North America. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in consulting or financial services who is looking to build deep expertise in growth strategy, M&A strategy and value creation. Senior Associates play a critical role in structuring analyses, leading workstreams and developing insights for client projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead individual workstreams within strategy and value creation projects, including market analysis, competitor benchmarking and customer research
    • Manage and analyze qualitative and quantitative data sets (market data, financials, interviews, surveys) to develop actionable insights
    • Support hypothesis development and contribute to client deliverables with clear, compelling storylines
    • Supervise and coach junior team members, ensuring high-quality outputs
    • Engage directly with clients and expert networks to gather market intelligence
    • Contribute to internal knowledge development and business development efforts, including proposals and thought leadership

    Qualifications

    • ~3 years of experience in strategy consulting, or equivalent experience in investment banking, private equity, or related fields within a strategy and M&A context
    • MBA preferred (or equivalent advanced degree / experience)
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort with both qualitative and quantitative analysis
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to distill complex findings into clear insights
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-based environment with tight deadlines
    • Interest in financial services in addition to corporate strategy (prior exposure to asset and wealth management is a plus)

    What We Offer

    • Opportunity to work directly with senior leaders and blue-chip clients in the financial services and private equity sectors
    • Entrepreneurial, collaborative environment with significant responsibility early on
    • Competitive compensation and benefits, with a clear path for career progression
    • Ability to work on projects for clients across North America and Europe
