STAFF COUNSEL FOR FRED LOYA INSURANCE AGENCY IS NOW HIRING- IN-HOUSE SENIOR TRIAL ATTORNEYPay $190,000 - 230,000 a year + discretionary annual bonus- 20%$5,000 SIGN-ON BONUSJob Description General Duties:Handle and manage litigation files from inception through trial, with reduced caseload in order to manage the officePrepare pleadings, discovery, motions, demands and responsesDraft reports and provide file analysisHandle litigation and other legal assignments in accordance with guidelines established for Staff Counsel for Fred Loya Insurance Agency, Inc., and the Loya Insurance GroupResponsibilities Manage a staff of 3-4 attorneys and paralegalsOversight of office operations for Fresno office and staffRepresent clients in civil court and civil litigation proceedings, including trialsPrepare and draft legal pleadings and other documents on behalf of clientsAdvise clients on business and legal transactions relating to civil defense proceedingsNegotiate settlements for legal disputesComply with all legal standards and regulationsPerform administrative and management functions related to the practice of lawSkills Superior awareness of and compliance with all applicable rules of professional conductSubstantial experience in civil litigation, preferably insurance defense litigation, including jury trial experienceComprehensive legal knowledge which promotes standards of professional practice and strong knowledge of the litigation environment in CaliforniaQualifications Member in good standing with the State Bar of CaliforniaMinimum 7 years of civil litigation experience, preferably insurance defense litigation, including jury trial experienceAdmission of CA BarTrial experience is required.Familiarity with civil pleadings and legal proceedingsStrong research and writing skills and excellent work ethic requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsBilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required#J-18808-Ljbffr
