Senior Attorney - Trusts and Estates

Rhoades Levy Law Group P. C. ("RLLaw"), a Northbrook, Illinois-based law firm, is seeking a senior attorney experienced in trusts and estates attorney to join its rapidly growing and highly collaborative law firm.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience (7+ years) handling complex estate planning and wealth transfer matters for high-net worth clients and with trust and estate settlement.

Responsibilities

• Handling complex estate planning and wealth transfer matters
• Utilizing advanced planning techniques
• Conducting gift, estate, income tax, and GST planning
• Engaging in charitable and family business succession planning
• Preparing estate and gift tax returns
• Managing complex trust administration and probate matters from start to finish
• Portable business is a plus but not required for this partner-track position.

Education and Experience

• J.D. from an ABA-approved law school
• Admitted to practice law in Illinois and in good standing with the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission
• 7+ years of experience outlined above

Base compensation starts at $150,000+ dependent on experience. The firm has a 1,500-billable hours target for attorneys, pays for originations, and provides additional compensation for excess hours. Total compensation will reflect your book of business and is commensurate with experience. Additional compensation includes a discretionary bonus, health, dental and vision paid at 50% for employee, flexible time off, and participation in RLLaw's 401K Profit Sharing Plan after one year of employment, which includes a 3% safe harbor contribution and a discretionary profit sharing contribution.
