Senior Audio-Visual Specialist IT Application Solutions Summary The Senior Audio-Visual Specialist performs advanced AV operational support functions and provides day-to-day leadership for the AV team. This role leads the support of the Washington DC office conference center delivering firmwide conferencing services and maintaining and improving AV infrastructure. The Senior AV Specialist works closely with the Covington Client Services team to ensure high-quality meetings and event support and contributes to technology reviews and process improvements as assigned. Apply Qualifications Education & Credentials ? College degree is preferred. ? Appropriate technical certifications are preferred. Knowledge & Experience ? Expert-level experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms MTR including Teams Room Pro environments. ? Expert-level experience configuring and supporting Lenovo Cisco and comparable AV devices. ? Advanced expertise with Extron control systems video matrix switches and mixers. ? Strong working knowledge of Crestron XIO and Fusion RV enterprise management tools including provisioning scheduling and monitoring. Duties and Responsibilities ? Deliver professional responsive solution-oriented AV support to Lawyers Business Professionals and Firm clients. ? Provide end-to-end AV support for meetings and conferences including video conferencing webinars content sharing digital recording video editing and special events. ? Configure test and support video audio control systems computers projectors displays and related AV technologies prior to scheduled events. ? Perform proactive system checks and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable operation. ? Create and maintain AV service tickets for setups support requests and system repairs. ? Repair AV equipment in-house when possible and coordinate vendor repairs as needed. ? Support Client Services with meeting planning third-party coordination and system integration testing. ? Maintain accurate AV equipment inventory and support documentation. ? Stay current with AV technologies trends and best practices to support continuous improvement. ? Crosstrain on firmwide AV systems to ensure comprehensive team coverage. ? Maintain timely and regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications continued ? Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience supporting video conferencing room audio systems and AV control platforms. ? Prior experience in a law firm or professional services IT environment preferred. Work Conditions ? Based in Washington D.C. ? Core hours of 900am 530pm Monday-Friday in-office. Ability for flexible hours including early mornings evenings and weekends with minimal notice when required. ? Position requires access to equipment software or technology that is subject to U.S. export controls. To be granted access pursuant to US Export Control laws candidate must be either a a United States citizen or national b a person lawfully admitted for permanent residence of the United States i.e. Green Card holder or c an INS-approved refugee or asylum holder who has applied for naturalization within six months of the date the individual first became eligible and if not yet naturalized is still actively pursuing naturalization if 2 years have passed since the date of application to be granted access pursuant to US Export Control laws. Candidates will be required to submit appropriate documentation to determine whether access can be granted before proceeding further through the application process. Duties and Responsibilities continued Senior-Level Responsibilities ? Train and mentor AV team members on systems tools and best practices. ? Support and engage firm executives for high-profile meetings and events. ? Coordinate and support large-scale events within and outside firm facilities. ? Document and promote standardized AV procedures and best practices firmwide. ? Lead AV infrastructure upgrades and maintenance activities recommend enhancements and improvements. ? Provide scheduled and ad-hoc performance and operational reports to the Audio-Visual Manager. ? Demonstrate initiative sound judgment and the ability to prioritize effectively in high-pressure environments. ? Pursue continuous professional development through training certifications and industry resources. ? Uphold high standards of confidentiality discretion and integrity particularly with respect to all sensitive andor confidential firm and client information to which this position will have access. Status Exempt Reports To Audio-Visual Manager Workplace Type Onsite Salary range of 88000- 110000 dependent on candidate experience.
