Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Senior Automation Platform Engineer (Appian, Blue Prism & AWS DevOps) for their Reston VA/Hybrid location.
Responsibilities:
The resource will provide administration, support, enhancement, and modernization services for enterprise automation and DevOps platforms supporting the Fannie Mae IPM Services engagement. Responsibilities include:
Appian platform administration and application deployment.
Blue Prism RPA platform administration and support.
AWS infrastructure operations including EC2, EFS, FSx, Lambda and associated services.
GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, and UCD CI/CD platform support.
Incident, problem, and production support.
Release and change management activities.
Vulnerability assessment, remediation coordination, and compliance support.
AI-driven engineering initiatives using GitHub Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Collaboration with federated teams across the organization.
Automation of operational and compliance processes.
Documentation, monitoring, governance, and platform reliability improvements.
Administer and support Appian Cloud and Blue Prism platforms.
Manage AWS infrastructure, including EC2, Lambda, EFS, and FSx, along with overall platform operations.
Lead CI/CD modernization initiatives, including migration from Jenkins and UCD to GitLab and Terraform.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Provide L2/L3 production support, incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis.
Manage releases, deployments, change requests, and ServiceNow workflows.
Drive AI-powered engineering initiatives using GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and Generative AI.
Develop automation solutions for operational processes, compliance, governance, and operational excellence.
Support multiple federated application teams by providing platform services, standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with business, security, infrastructure, and development teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Individual contributor role.
Experience supporting critical production platforms required.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills preferred.
Experience with AI-assisted engineering, automation, compliance processes, and vulnerability management preferred.
Ability to support federated teams and multiple technology platforms.
Experienced engineer responsible for supporting and modernizing enterprise automation platforms, AWS infrastructure, DevOps pipelines, and AI-driven engineering solutions across federated teams.
