Senior Automation Tester

Location: Woodlawn, Maryland (Remote)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer with hands‑on experience in healthcare payer systems, preferably Facets. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining test automation for UI, API, EDI, and batch workflows that support claims, enrollment, membership, benefits, and financial processes. All candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, web services, and EDI processes using frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
• Support automation across Facets modules including Claims Processing, Membership, Benefits, Provider, Pricing, and Financials.
• Execute transaction mapping, basic benefit validation, and verification of EDI message flows for HIPAA compliance.
• Automate scenarios related to enrollment discrepancies influenced by EDI transformations and validate downstream impacts to claims accuracy.
• Perform end‑to‑end automated test execution for core Facets components such as Claims Processing and Membership.
• Contribute to automated regression cycles for financial benefits, ensuring stability and accurate validation of HIPAA‑sensitive data.
• Support automation of HIPAA 5010 EDI transactions (837, 834, 820, 278, 270/271, 999).
• Assist with validating adjudication rules using Facets benefit logic and HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with QA, engineering, architecture, and SMEs to refine automation coverage aligned with system needs.
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.
• Ensure PHI security and HIPAA compliance across all automation work.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 3-5 years of hands‑on automation engineering experience using Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent tools. Ability to obtain & maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Technical Skills:

• Functional knowledge of Facets-claims life cycle, membership, eligibility, enrollment, benefits, pricing, or financial workflows.
• Experience automating EDI‑driven processes and validating downstream impacts.
• Familiarity with HIPAA 5010 transactions and compliance validation.
• Solid programming skills in JavaScript, Java, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of PHI handling and secure testing practices.
