Join us in engineering tomorrow's mobility today.SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Systems Engineer to support the development, release, validation, and launch of vehicle systems with a strong focus on Interior, Exterior, and Trim commodities.This role requires hands on ownership across all development phases, deep supplier interaction, and proven fluency in Volkswagen Group engineering processes, tools, and release systems on ownership across all development phasesCandidates without direct exposure to VW Group processes typically struggle to be effective in this environment.Roles and ResponsibilitiesSystem & Component OwnershipEngineering responsibility for assigned commodities (Interior / Exterior / Trim preferred)Support system development from concept through SOPOwnership of Post B‑Release changes through productionEnsure compliance with engineering, safety, quality, and manufacturing requirementsVW Release & Data ManagementManage and support B‑Release and Post B‑Release activitiesEnsure correct CAD data release into VW KVS systemsCoordinate supplier data uploads and ensure buildready data statusMaintain data integrity across development and build phasesSupplier & Interface ManagementAct as technical interface between OEM engineering, suppliers, and manufacturingDrive part updates and design changes to support:Manufacturing feasibilityPerformance improvementsInterface changes to surrounding systemsEnsure tooling timing aligns with prototype, preproduction, and production buildsTesting, Validation & Launch SupportSupport and/or lead DV / PV testing activitiesOwn issue resolution during:Prototype buildsPreproduction buildsProduction ramp upProvide onsite build support as required (including plant locations)Quality & Engineering ProcessesApply and review DFMEA, PFMEA, Control PlansSupport engineering studies and issue root cause resolutionEnsure production readiness and quality maturity at SOPRequirements6+ years of automotive engineering experience in relevant systemsProven experience across all vehicle development phasesStrong technical depth in Interior / Exterior / Trim systemsHandson experience with CATIA V5 and/or CATIA V6Sectioning, packaging studies, interface checksSolid understanding of OEM quality and release processesWillingness to support onsite build activitiesFluent in English (spoken and written)Strongly Preferred / Key Differentiators (VW Filter)Candidates will be strongly prioritized if they demonstrate:Volkswagen Group background(VW, Audi, Porsche, Scout, Cariad, or Tier1 suppliers with VW core business)Direct experience with:BRelease / PostBRelease ownershipSupplier CAD upload into VW systemsNatural fluency in VW engineering termi release structures and “OEM systems” knowledge#J-18808-Ljbffr
