Based in the United States, this role sits at the intersection of audiovisual systems, automation, and site reliability engineering, giving you access to the latest AI and agentic development tools to make our global meeting room infrastructure more scalable, observable, and self‑healing.What You'll Actually Be DoingDesign and build automation that drives reliability and operational consistency across conference room deployment, configuration validation, monitoring, remediation, asset management, and lifecycle operations, reducing manual effort at scale.Develop observability solutions – including monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and health checks – for meeting room devices, AV systems, network dependencies, and vendor platforms using tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Slack workflows, and NetBox.Create scalable support and self‑healing workflows that help support teams diagnose issues faster, trigger approved remediation steps, and maintain configuration data quality across systems, vendor portals, and inventory platforms.Serve as a senior technical contributor: lead complex investigations, mentor engineers and support teams, and influence the AV Engineering roadmap through automation, reliability improvements, and operational best practices.You're Our Person If…5+ years of experience in systems engineering, site reliability engineering, DevOps, AV automation, or a closely related technical field.Proficient in Python (or a comparable modern scripting language) with hands‑on experience building REST API integrations, handling JSON payloads, and creating event‑driven workflows.Experience with automation or configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Salt, or similar, and the ability to apply those skills to connected hardware environments.Foundational knowledge of networking concepts relevant to connected hardware – including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and Power over Ethernet – and a demonstrated track record of turning ambiguous operational problems into scalable, reliable solutions.A related technical degree is required.Even Better If…Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Git‑based workflows, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines, and familiarity with observability platforms such as Splunk, New Relic, Kentik, or Grafana.Hands‑on experience with enterprise AV systems or collaboration platforms at scale – including Google Meet hardware, Logitech, Neat, Cisco, Q‑SYS, or similar devices.Experience integrating APIs from SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Zoom, WebEx, and Slack, or building ChatOps workflows and agent‑driven remediation tools.Relevant industry certifications in collaboration platforms, AV hardware, or cloud technologies such as Certified Technology Specialist, AWS, Splunk, or vendor certifications.Unleash Your PotentialWhen you join Salesforce, you'll be limitless in all areas of your life. The typical base salary range for this position is $148,500–$223,900 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range is $178,900–$246,000 annually.
