JANUS Research Group is seeking a Senior Aviation Military Analyst with expertise in Army Aviation concepts, integration, modernization synchronization, and capability development to support enterprise-level aviation modernization efforts. The selected candidate will provide senior operational and strategic analysis to assist Army Aviation leadership in synchronizing modernization initiatives, capability development activities, resource planning, and force design decisions across the Army Aviation Enterprise.
This role requires a highly experienced Army Aviation professional capable of integrating complex information from multiple stakeholders, developing strategic recommendations, and supporting senior leaders with modernization planning aligned to Army priorities and the Army Modernization Strategy.
Essential Responsibilities
Serve as a senior subject matter expert supporting Army Aviation concepts, integration, synchronization, and modernization initiatives.
Assist Aviation Capability Managers (ACMs) and senior leadership in synchronizing modernization plans across the Army Aviation Enterprise.
Support alignment of aviation modernization efforts with the Army Modernization Strategy and enterprise-level priorities.
Provide expertise on Army Aviation force design, organizational structures, and impacts associated with changes to aviation formations, equipment, and personnel.
Analyze modernization initiatives, capability gaps, and force structure changes to provide recommendations to senior leaders.
Support integrated scheduling processes to synchronize modernization activities, program milestones, and enterprise priorities.
Coordinate and integrate data inputs from multiple organizations into strategic communications and executive-level messaging.
Support Army Aviation Enterprise Synchronization Model working groups focused on modernization integration, funding strategies, and program execution.
Advise Aviation Capability Manager (ACM) and Capability Development Integration Directorate (CEAD) leadership on:
Planning
Programming
Budgeting
Execution (PPBE) processes
Impacts to Army Aviation programs and modernization efforts
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Working Groups, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and enterprise synchronization forums.
Lead and support aviation studies, operational assessments, and technology evaluation efforts.
Develop and review aviation capability documentation, including:
White papers
Concept papers
Requirements documents
Operational views
Technical analyses
Prepare and deliver briefings and strategic recommendations to senior military and government leadership.
Independently produce high-quality analytical products requiring minimal government revisions.
Review and edit technical products to ensure graduate-level quality prior to government delivery.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of Army Aviation flight and combat operations experience.
Rated Army Aviator with extensive operational aviation experience.
Senior or Master Rated Aviator qualification required.
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting:
Capability management
Combat developments
Force modernization
Requirements development
Comprehensive understanding of:
Army Aviation force design
Aviation formation structure
Modernization impacts on personnel and equipment
Army Aviation enterprise planning processes
Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise-level synchronization of aviation modernization initiatives.

Experience serving as a Team Lead conducting:
