Overview
Seeking a Senior AWS IAM Engineer to support enterprise cloud identity services and AWS based data and analytics capabilities within a large scale financial services environment. This role combines hands on AWS IAM Identity Center expertise with data engineering and reporting responsibilities using services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, and Athena.
Your future duties and responsibilities
The engineer will configure and support AWS Identity Center, identity federation, permission sets, account access, and enterprise identity integrations while also developing and maintaining data ingestion, transformation, and reporting workflows. The role requires strong troubleshooting and automation skills, the ability to work independently on complex technical problems, and collaboration with security, data, cloud, and application teams.
This is a senior level hands on engineering role requiring expertise across both AWS identity/access management and AWS data technologies.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
. 5+ years of hands on experience with AWS IAM Identity Center, including permission sets, account assignments, account access, identity federation, and enterprise identity integrations.
. Strong knowledge of AWS IAM, including roles, policies, trust policies, permission boundaries, least privilege access, cross account access, and access troubleshooting.
. Hands on experience with AWS data services, particularly Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, and Lake Formation.
. Experience developing and supporting ETL/data pipelines, including data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, or similar technologies.
. Strong SQL skills with experience querying and analyzing datasets, validating data, troubleshooting data quality issues, and supporting reporting and analytics needs.
. Experience with Python and/or Shell scripting for cloud, IAM, and data workflow automation.
. Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for AWS infrastructure and configuration automation.
. Understanding of enterprise identity federation and integration patterns across AWS accounts and services.
. Ability to independently evaluate technical options, solve complex problems, and produce production quality code and automation.
. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with security, cloud, data, and application teams in an enterprise environment.
. Financial services or another highly regulated enterprise environment is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
