What You Will Do
Design and implement robust backend systems that support high-volume data processing and analytics.
Build and maintain APIs and services using Python and FastAPI to enhance product functionality.
Optimize database performance and data modeling in PostgreSQL to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with frontend applications and data pipelines.
Utilize cloud services (AWS or GCP) to deploy and manage scalable infrastructure.
Proactively identify and resolve system bottlenecks to improve overall performance and reliability.
Contribute to CI/CD processes to streamline deployment and enhance development workflows.
Ideal Candidate Background
7+ years of experience in backend engineering with deep expertise in Python and service-oriented architecture.
Proven track record of building and owning production backend systems from design through deployment.
Strong knowledge of distributed systems, data-intensive applications, and scalability challenges.
Experience with modern DevOps practices, including containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
Familiarity with data processing frameworks and streaming technologies such as Kafka.
Preferred
Experience working in fast-paced startup environments or high-growth companies.
Background in AI, data infrastructure, or analytics systems to enhance product capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to team best practices.
Compensation and Benefits
