An investment management firm is seeking a Senior Bank Loan Specialist for a remote role based in Connecticut. This position focuses on syndicated bank loan operations, controls oversight, and cross-functional coordination within an institutional investment environment.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day shift
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 5:30 PM
  • Setting: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee syndicated bank loan operations to ensure activity is processed accurately and on time across relevant systems.
  • Review controls, investigate issues, and help maintain accurate positions, transactions, cash balances, performance, and accounting records.
  • Provide oversight of reconciliation work by reviewing breaks, comments, and issue resolution progress.
  • Communicate with portfolio management, investment operations, internal stakeholders, vendors, custody banks, and agents to resolve questions and maintain alignment.
  • Support additional operational responsibilities across multiple asset classes as needed.
  • Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience working with bank loans from an operational perspective.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong proficiency with investment reporting and analytical tools and databases, including Bloomberg or similar trade order management or investment accounting systems
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, analytical ability, multitasking skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment

Desired Skills:

  • MBA
  • Experience with syndicated loans and other investments
  • Familiarity with loan-based software
  • Knowledge of LSTA standard documentation and terms
  • Understanding of the trade lifecycle and broadly syndicated loan processes
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VBA and automation
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro
  • Experience supporting a trading business
  • Interest in using AI tools
