ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a senior origination and relationship management opportunity within the Corporate Banking division of a well-established international bank, focused on driving new business acquisition and portfolio growth with large-cap, multinational, investment-grade US corporations. The role carries full client lifecycle ownership from prospecting and sourcing through credit structuring, documentation, and ongoing portfolio management while leading cross-selling initiatives across the bank's global network of products and services. It's an ideal fit for a seasoned corporate banker with a strong origination track record, an established network of centers of influence, and the executive presence to lead credit committee presentations and legal negotiations at the highest level.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and execute strategies to acquire and expand corporate client relationships with targeted large-cap multinational US corporations, ensuring alignment with the bank's credit standards and value proposition
  • Originate new business opportunities;build and maintain a robust network of centers of influence to drive referrals and sustainable revenue growth
  • Achieve and surpass established exposure and profitability KPIs within the bank's risk tolerance constraints
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, covenants, and guarantees for new and existing clients;decline transactions with unsatisfactory risk/reward profiles while preserving client relationships
  • Produce and lead legal negotiations on bilateral credit documentation;review syndicated legal documentation for conformity with approved credit applications
  • Assess and review client profiles, credit transaction risks, structuring, and documentation across the corporate portfolio
  • Supervise Credit Analysts in the preparation of Credit Applications including deep-dive financial statement analysis, industry trend research, competitive analysis, and forecasting model development
  • Lead Credit Committee presentations for new deals and portfolio reviews;advocate for approvals and manage committee requests and follow-up
  • Actively monitor and manage portfolio relationships with a full understanding of clients'goals, business evolution, and emerging opportunities
  • Foster a collaborative approach with Account Officers and Product Specialists across the bank's global network to deepen share of wallet and enhance client relationships
  • Coordinate new business activities, portfolio monitoring, and reporting with all internal stakeholders including Middle Office, Operations, Compliance, and Legal
  • Monitor KYC onboarding and periodic reviews;ensure full compliance with BSA/AML guidelines, US Patriot Act requirements, and all applicable regulatory standards
  • Travel as needed to attend client meetings, pitches, and business development activities
