Job Overview:

The Senior Banking Coordinator plays a lead role within the Treasury Services team, serving as a subject matter expert and escalation resource for daily banking operations, cash management activities, and client account administration. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external banking partners. The Senior Banking Coordinator takes ownership of complex account issues, reviews and approves electronic transfers, provides quality oversight of team workflows, and supports the supervisor in driving operational consistency and accuracy across all assigned markets.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex Treasury requests submitted through the CRM ticketing system, ensuring timely and accurate resolution while supporting the team in managing day-to-day volume.
  • Lead and oversee the preparation and submission of documentation for opening, funding, and closing bank accounts for management clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Review, approve, and take ownership of daily electronic transfers (ACH, wires, internal transfers), ensuring adherence to approval of workflows, security standards, and turnaround expectations.
  • Work with banking partners to facilitate account openings, fundings, closures, and resolve account issues.
  • Ensure new accounts are set up accurately in accounting platforms and provide account information to local Treasury Departments.
  • Monitor daily cash activity, ensure proper funding, and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist with forecasting cash needs and maintaining adequate liquidity.
  • Maintain and update Excel, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and other databases for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Monitor transactions to ensure supporting documentation is submitted, and expenses are approved each month.
  • Liaise with banking partners and internal teams to identify issues, suggest corrective procedures, and implement solutions.
  • Support Treasury leaders with administrating online banking credentials.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Treasury SOPs, serving as a resource for the team on established procedures and best practices.
  • Participate in special projects and support additional treasury functions as assigned.
  • Perform quality reviews of work completed by Banking Coordinators, identify errors or inconsistencies, and provide feedback to ensure accuracy and adherence to SOPs.
  • Provide informal guidance and mentorship to Banking Coordinators, supporting their development and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and recommend solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external partners
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications; demonstrated experience with platforms such as DocuSign, Smartsheet, and Zendesk required
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex issues, lead workflows, and deliver results with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with banking platforms and treasury functions such as account management, signature authority, and cash management is strongly preferred
