Who We Are

Whether you're brand new to ABA or finding your way back to it, you belong here. CABA was built by Dr. Rachel Taylor, a clinician who never stopped doing the work herself. She wanted to create the kind of place she'd want to work, built around one idea: take good care of your people, and they'll take beautiful care of the clients. At CABA we work with individuals across the lifespan with autism and other disabilities and conditions, including co-occurring needs, helping to increase independence and improve quality of life.

People come to this field for different reasons. What matters is what you choose to do once you’re here. CABA is built to help you see that reason through.

The way the Taylors treat their team isn't a policy. It's a promise, to their staff and to every person counting on them.

We work with older children, teens, and adults navigating autism, bipolar disorder, and complex co-occurring diagnoses. You already know what this work can be at its best. Now you want to be somewhere that recognizes what you bring to it.

You’ve Done the Work. Now Do More With It.

You know what a hard session feels like. You’ve sat with a client through something nobody else would understand. You’ve figured out what works when the plan on paper wasn’t working in the room.

You have a degree. You have direct experience. And you’ve been looking for a role that actually values both.

At CABA, Senior Behavior Technician means something. You’ll work across our SPS and day program service lines with real clinical exposure and room to grow, without being pushed into a management track you didn’t ask for. You’ll mentor junior staff because you’ve been where they are. You’ll be trusted with more because you’ve earned it.

This isn’t a lateral move. It’s the role you’ve been ready for.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide direct support across CABA service lines, including Specialized Behavior Services and our Adaptive Skills Program

  • Mentor, train, and support BTs and junior clinical staff

  • Observe sessions, assess performance, and give real feedback that makes people better

  • Support BCBAs with assessments, data graphing, report writing, and client intake

  • Collect treatment fidelity and interobserver agreement data

  • Serve as a liaison between clinical leadership and frontline staff

  • Conduct RBT evaluations and ongoing training

  • Write incident reports and progress notes per CABA and funding source standards

  • Model the clinical and professional standards CABA is known for

Where This Role Can Take You

Senior BT at CABA is a deliberate step on a path toward BCBA and beyond. We actively support staff pursuing certification, and there are clinical and leadership roles within the organization for those who want to grow here long term.

We’d rather build you up than watch you leave.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Active RBT certification required

  • 3 or more years of experience with individuals with severe challenging behavior

  • Experience working with adults and adolescents with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health diagnoses

  • CPR and CPI certification required. We’ll support you in getting certified if needed

  • Valid California driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance

  • Must pass TB clearance and FBI/DOJ background check

  • Three professional and two personal references

Physical Requirements

This is active, hands-on work. You should be comfortable sitting on the floor, moving quickly, and providing physical support to clients when needed. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.

What You’ll Receive

  • Pay: $23.00 - $24.50

  • Travel time pay and mileage reimbursement

  • Health, dental, vision, and 401(k) for qualifying full-time employees

  • Paid sick and leave time

  • Real-time clinical support through our BOSS® program

  • A clear path toward BCBA supervision hours and senior leadership roles

  • Employee assistance program covering health, wellness, and work-life balance

  • Corporate discount programs for travel, electronics, wellness, and more

  • A leadership team that tells the truth and listens

A Note on Scheduling

This role covers multiple California regions. Some evenings and weekends are part of the reality, and we’d rather be upfront about that now.

If you’re ready to do more with what you’ve built, in a place that was made specifically so that work can be done right, we’d love to meet you.

CABA is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to building and maintaining an inclusive workplace free from discrimination and harassment. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, medical condition, marital status, genetic information, veteran or military status, or any other characteristic protected under federal, California, or local law. Applicants requiring reasonable accommodations during the application or interview process are encouraged to contact us. All requests will be handled confidentially.
