About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented SR BILLING SPECIALIST to support project accounting, invoicing, billing operations, and contract administration within a dynamic AEC environment in HOUSTON. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing the full project billing lifecycle and working directly with project managers, consultants, and clients.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing financial accuracy, client communication, and project coordination while supporting multiple active projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the billing and invoicing cycle of projects
- Perform project accounting functions including contract review, project inception plans, and billing configuration
- Prepare and keep track of all invoices
- Handle client invoicing compliance based on specific guidelines
- Support project reporting and reconciliation activities
- Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collection efforts
- Maintain consultant insurance certificates and tracking documentation
- Ensure compliance with client-specific billing procedures
- Collaborate with project managers and accounting leadership on project financial performance
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of billing and invoicing experience within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry
- Prior experience as a SR BILLING SPECIALIST supporting project accounting and contract management
- Strong proficiency with Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint software
- Experience with Lump Sum (LS), Time & Materials (T&M), and Cost Plus (CP) billing
- Intermediate to advanced skills using product from the Microsoft suite like Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage high-volume communication and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- FAR and Federal Contracting experience is a plus
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
