An independent organization of creative thinkers and innovative doers collaborating from offices worldwide, our mission is to bring our clients' ideas to life and, in the process, lay the groundwork for a better, more resilient future. We provide support and opportunities to our employees to achieve their full potential and cultivate a rewarding career.
Our Structural Engineering practice collaborates with architects, building owners, and builders to design elegant solutions for projects of all types, sizes, and levels of complexity. From designing the world's tallest buildings and most extended spans to engineering inventive "jewel-box" structures and designing major expansion projects, we continually seek the best balance among the demands of form, function, sustainability, constructability, schedule, and budget.
The Role
We're seeking a Senior BIM Modeler to support the design and documentation of complex projects using the latest modeling software. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating 3D parametric models, translating them into clear 2D drawings, and producing detailed construction documents. The ideal candidate is self-directed, technically skilled, and comfortable working across all phases of the building design process.
Responsibilities
* Create 2D CAD/3D BIM models to a high level of accuracy.
* Develop structural plans, sections, elevations and details from a 3D BIM model for projects of all sizes and technical complexities.

* Work closely with structural engineers and other team members to ensure accurate representation and implementation of designs.
* Clearly annotate, dimension and detail production drawings in conformance to Thornton Tomasetti standards and practices.
* Setup, manage, and/or plot large sheets sets including revisions and markups for each project.
* Assist and direct CAD/BIM workflow.
* Set up and geo-locate multiple models for a single project.
* Interface with engineers, our clients, and other consultants through clear communication and drawings. Interact with our clients to coordinate BIM modeling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery.
Requirements
* Associate's Degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent experience focused in building construction.
* Significant design experience and understanding of AutoCAD and Revit.
* Working knowledge of structural building components, structural construction materials (steel and concrete), standard construction techniques, and basic understanding of print reading and construction document production,
* Excellent understanding of 3D parametric modeling to maximize the benefits of an integrated building model.
* Excellent skills in relation to rendering and graphic formats and their manipulation and output.
