If you love music and have 5+ years of client bookkeeping at a CPA firm, are degreed and are looking for growth, this role is for you!
This is a hybrid position, with 2 days/week remote and 3 days in our NJ office. They are a laid back firm that values work/life balance, especially during tax season.
We'd love a candidate who has worked with high net worth clients, ideally in the entertainment industry.
The ideal candidate has worked with Agilink or has worked with a music based CPA firm, but is not necessary. If you haven't worked in Agilink, strong background in client bookkeeping and QuickBooks needed at another CPA firm.

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Senior Bookkeeper/ Staff Accountant to join our team in the Music/Entertainment sector of the Finance industry. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for music and entertainment, combined with a robust background in accounting. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, as well as preparing and analyzing budgets for 10 clients. You will also have the opportunity to work on exciting projects involving financial forecasting and planning. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform general bookkeeping duties, including posting information to accounting software and regularly reconciling accounts.
- Pay debts as they come due for payment, including necessary entries and maintaining files.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closes.
- Prepare documents for audits.
- Assist in the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasting.
- Adhere to organizational procedures and policies.
- Use Agilink software proficiently to streamline accounting tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Reconciliations, and Bookkeeping.
- Experience in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Familiarity with month-end close and budgeting processes.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for the music/entertainment industry is a plus!
