The Senior Brand Manager, Mission Tortillas, is responsible for leading the overall strategy, performance, and execution of the Mission Tortilla brand-the largest tortilla brand in the US. This role sets long-term brand strategy in partnership with leadership and translates insights into actionable plans that drive sustainable growth.
As the steward of the company's most critical brand, this role partners closely with cross-functional leadership, inclusive of Marketing, Sales, R&D, Procurement, and QA as well as external agency partners to deliver cohesive brand leadership across innovation, portfolio strategy, communication, and commercialization. The Senior Brand Manager will also collaborate with the Associate Brand Manager supporting Mission Chips to ensure strategic alignment across the broader Mission branded portfolio.
Brand Strategy & Business Leadership
Own the overall Mission Tortillas brand strategy, including long‑range vision, annual plans, and in‑market execution
Lead brand positioning, portfolio architecture, and messaging to drive relevance and growth across consumers and customers
Serve as the primary brand lead across cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment from strategy through execution
Portfolio Management
Set innovation strategy and pipeline priorities for the Mission Tortillas brand, in context of entire portfolio of Mission US brands
Partner with R&D, Insights, Manufacturing and Operations to develop, test, and commercialize new products
Manage full product lifecycle from concept to launch through Stage Gate process including packaging, pricing, promotion, and distribution strategies
Marketing Plan Execution
Translate brand strategy into integrated marketing plans across media, retail, digital, and shopper marketing
Lead development and execution of national campaigns aligned to key seasonal occasions, consumer insights, and innovation launches
Oversee media strategy and agency execution to ensure effective allocation of investment and delivery against business objectives
Partner closely with Guerrero's Brand Manager to align reporting and briefing while ensuring clear, complementary brand positioning
Manage the assigned Marketing budget effectively to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives
Data-Driven Insights
Lead analysis of Mission, category, and consumer performance using syndicated data, external resources, and internal reporting
Translate data into clear business insights that inform strategic and tactical decisions
Drive continuous improvement of marketing execution through post-campaign analysis, identifying best practices, learnings, and scalability opportunities
Provide analytical insights to enable decision-making, including in-market programs and innovation, to measure effectiveness and inform future recommendations
Cross‑Functional & External Leadership:
Partner with Sales, Insights, Trade Marketing, Procurement, and Operations to drive strong execution and commercialization
Lead agency partners to deliver best‑in‑class brand building and communication
Influence senior leadership through clear storytelling, strategic thinking, and strong business recommendations
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field is required. MBA strongly preferred. Plus 7+ years of experience in brand management, ideally within a large CPG organization. *Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.
