GPI / Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Albany, NY team. This role focuses on the design of bridges for NYSDOT and local agencies, with opportunities to work on multiple concurrent projects and to mentor others. GPI has a culture that emphasizes employee satisfaction and growth, and offers diverse, complex projects including new design, rehabilitation, preservation, and repair of bridges, walls, and dams.Base pay range$85,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yrFor more information on the compensation range and viewable pay details, talk with your recruiter.ResponsibilitiesDevelop superstructure designs for new and replacement bridgesDevelop rehabilitation plans and details for bridge projectsDevelop foundation designs for bridges and culverts (piles, spread footers, etc.)Prepare and review civil/structural calculations, drawings, construction specifications, develop engineering construction cost estimates, and coordinate with interdisciplinary design teamsMeet with clients as neededQualificationsBS in Civil Engineering (minimum)MS in structural engineering with Advanced Certificate in Bridge Engineering preferred5+ years of experience designing structural and/or bridge-related projectsEIT required, PE preferredExperience using AutoCAD and MicroStation preferredExperience with MATHCAD, BrR, Staad, and OpenBridge preferredAbility to develop plans and calculations for a variety of new and existing bridge types including substructure designKnowledge of AASHTO LRFR, AASHTO Standard Specifications, and AASHTO MBE design codes and manualsKnowledge of NYSDOT and locally administered federal aid project processes is a plusAbout GPIGPI is a multi-discipline engineering firm providing planning, design, and construction services for transportation infrastructure and building systems for over 50 years.
